The honest summary
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so refunds are processed by them, under their rules. That’s a platform constraint, not our choice. What IS our choice: cancellation is one tap, there are no retention tricks, and if a refund situation is genuinely unfair and the platform says no, write to us and we will find something fair.
How to cancel (stops all future charges)
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → QuitBets → Cancel. Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions. Or in the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you paid for.
How to request a refund
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com → sign in → find the charge → request refund. Apple decides, usually within 48 hours.
- Google:within 48h of purchase, refund directly in Play Store; after that, use Play’s “Request a refund” flow.
EU/UK consumers
You have a 14-day withdrawal right for digital services, implemented through the platform refund flows above. Starting to use the paid service is consent to immediate provision; statutory conformity rights are unaffected (see Terms, section 14).
When the platform says no but you’re right
Examples: you were hospitalized, a minor used your device, you cancelled but a renewal slipped through anyway. Email support@quitbets.app with the situation. We can’t reverse Apple/Google charges ourselves, but we can grant equivalent service credit or help escalate the platform request. We’re not in the business of keeping money from people in recovery who got a raw deal.
